Objects

The Objects of the charity are:

  1. To promote swimming as a beneficial activity for people with disabilities.
  2. To provide a consultative forum for the national organisations concerned with swimming for people with disabilities, and co-ordinate, where appropriate the work of member organisations.

Aims

The Aims of the charity are to:

  1. Consider the needs of swimming groups and clubs for people with disabilities and take appropriate action.
  2. Consider areas of common concern including facility requirements, training teachers, coaches and officials, methods of competition and to make recommendations for action.
  3. Provide opportunities for people with disabilities to assume positions of responsibility in swimming.
  4. Collect, collate and disseminate and, where necessary, provide information required by those involved with swimming for people with disabilities.
  5. Identify the roles and training needs of helpers in swimming groups and clubs for people with disabilities and to take the necessary action.
  6. Encourage, where appropriate, the integration of swimmers into mainstream clubs and provision.
  7. Offer co-operation to the governing bodies of swimming in the pursuance of integration.
